Future Rhythm Node Promotions

Rhythm has been something I have been working on for quite some time. As a matter of fact, it started in 2015 after I attended AU2014 and learned about Dynamo.

Over the years it has grown and changed from a humble package comprised of mostly OOTB nodes, to a package with a lot of python, to the full ZeroTouch(C#) implementation that it is today. Along the way some nodes have come and gone as well.

At this time, the Dynamo team is heavily involved on getting the Revit libraries updated. What is really cool is, you can see this development for yourself here, (another win for open source!).

Of these new developments, there are quite a few that were built and inspired from my work on Rhythm.

This is really cool for a few reasons:

  1. The nodes are all growed up.(sic) 😢
  2. Once they are in OOTB, I no longer need to manage those nodes. (this won’t happen for a few more releases though)
  3. I can build other cool nodes in their place.
  4. I get a big check. I possibly get a polite shoutout on the forum or something.
  5. It proves to me, that my work is more than okay after all. 😅

If you are curious which nodes are going to go for ice cream and never come back, check out the list here, Future Rhythm Node Deprecations.

Oh, and something I did not mention is Bang! for Dynamo is pretty much all getting absorbed too. Which is crazy to think about! That list is here, Future Bang Node Deprecations.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who follows along with me on my “Dynamo Journey”.
